Summertime Bucket List – Michigan Edition

School has been out for a little bit so now it’s really time to get down to business. What are you going to do this summer to make the most of it? No idea? Another extremely popular option for many Michigan Natives. Take a dune buggy out on the sand dunes, or just go out to relax.

Tigers Baseball

Chances are, if you’re from Michigan you’re a big fan of our Tiger’s Baseball team. Attending a game is an experience that’s not easily forgotten!

Waterfalls

Our Upper Peninsula has nearly 200 waterfalls! How many can you go see this summer?

Traverse City Festivals

There are plenty of festivals that happen in Traverse City over the summer, one of the most popular being the Film Festival.

There are literally THOUSANDS of lakes in and around Michigan, so it’s no surprise that we love to be on them all the time. Maybe this summer it’s time for you to pick up a new hobby? Ever tried sailboating or kayaking?

Charlevoix Mushroom Houses

You’ll find Instagram worthy homes called “Mushroom Houses” in Charlevoix. If you head to the Harsha House Museum you’ll learn plenty about the architect behind the designs, Earl Young.

Sure, there are plenty of places around the country and world that you can star gaze, but have you every really looked up at the sky on a warm Michigan summer night? It hits different.

With lots of water comes lots of islands. There are thousands upon thousands of islands in Michigan. Which ones are your fave?

Croswell Opera House

The Croswell is the oldest theater in Michigan and they host broadway shows throughout the entire summer. Take a short drive to Adrian to see “Disenchanted” or “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” this summer.

Ann Arbor Art

The Ann Arbor Art Fair is on for 2021! July 15th-July 17th. This is one of the largest outdoor art fairs in America, there will be something there for everyone!

Marina Boat Overnight

There are a few places near Saugatuck/Douglas, Frankfort and some other small cities along Lake Michigan that offer overnight stays in a Marina Boat. Find them on Airbnb.
